Chestnut hill Reservoir. Sophomore year

Sorry for the wait i have been so busy with school work. Forgive me. Anyway this contains my last project which i just completed. what do you all think.

















On this project i was required to use the topography of the Chestnut Hill Reservoir and include a viewing center,  gathering spot(rendezvous area), a visitors center. 
My main concept for this project was the sun in respect of its geometry and its rays. I used the circular geometry of the sun to determine the shape and position with the help of sun studies which I conducted to discern the north position of my building to make the horizon view the dominant view of the visitors center. As for the rays I used to plan out the paths on the site............. Figure the rest out and enjoy the post i don't want to bore y'all. BLESS.

    I'd be a liar if I said this design didn't make sense. The concept again brilliant!! But that cantilevered floor slab though... Needs some serious reinforcements to hold it firmly. Good job sir.

The Giving Tree SUMMER SEMESTER!!

So the summer semester has come to a close. Man was that long but we did it right. Can I say this was my best work yet I don't know you tell me in the comments. Moving on from the Pavilion project we were asked to pick a children's book and I picked the giving tree. A pretty dull book but I took the challenge; in this book there was a tree and a boy. In the story the boy loved the tree but as the boy grew older he began to lose his connection to the tree but later comes back as an old man to the tree. You guys might have to read it for yourself. But moving on i decided to approach this with a couple of abstract models taking the story and trying to connect them to a structural phase. Steps moving forward i came up with a building that tells a story and also reflects the context of the site( Newbury street, Boston MA.)
