Why is the Sun so cold in ideas?

So I just finished my stressful semester and my final project was an iteration of my last project which I had put up a while ago.
On this one I revisited more interesting ways to design my viewing platform and more interesting ways to move through the site.
The goal for this project was to recreate the original chestnut hill reservoir and make a connection to the water with a viewing platform and make a connection from the street to the site and include an educational center. My concept was the use of the sun in respect to its spherical geometry and its sun rays which influenced the way I placed my paths. I gave another stab at rendering, i personally think I've gotten better since the last time but what do you guys think?

EDUCATION BUILDING

Sketch model of my idea for  my education centre. 

For my education center I design my building into the topography playing with levels and cantilevers. I made the 1st floor welcoming from the car park and as you move to the 2nd floor you get to the top of the hill which connects you to the several pollination gardens I have added the to the viewing platform. As for the 3rd floor I have made it more or less with curtain wall and my reason for doing that was because of it was at the highest point of the whole site, so what better way to learn about a site than an elevated glass paneled class room. *wink*

VIEWING PLATFORM.

For my new and improved viewing platform i also designed into the topography orienting my building west of the site to get the best view of the sunset. I also made a roof restaurant so it just feels like you're eating on top of a mountain and people can also go there and contemplate one on one with nature. 

Finally, I want to know what you guys think about my improvements or did i get worse? up to you. 

and thanks to my senior colleague and senior friend they are both architects in front of me that influenced my project and always push me to move forward. (I'm not mentioning any names because they should know themselves).
